About Joe
I grew up in Buffalo, NY. In 1994, my friends led me to Christ and I was born-again (John 3:3)!
God moved me to Phoenix after college in 1997 and I began attending Calvary Community Church a few years later. I immediately found young adult ministry to be what God had called me to! After working as an industrial engineer for 12 years at American Express, I sensed God’s call into more ministry and began attending Phoenix Seminary in 2009.
Calvary Revolution
Our priorities in Revolution are in agreement with the focus and simplicity of the early church (Acts 2:42):
- Prayer
- Fellowship
- Teaching
- Worship
- Outreach
We meet weekly on Sunday mornings at 11am at the Central Campus' main sanctuary to take part in the main worship service. Each Sunday afternoon we go to lunch together for fellowship time. We also meet every Friday night for home Bible studies, our once per month prayer night, and regular fellowship and outreach events.
Our goal is to not just be an internally-focused young adult ministry, but a young adult group that impacts our corner of the city for Christ. We desire to see young adults make the most of this opportunity of their young adult years (Ephesians 5:15-16) to serve the Lord and make a difference for Christ in the world, especially since the young adult years are generally a time in life when family responsibilities are less and critical life-direction decisions are being made.
